Data Deletion and Revocation

Use this page to request deletion

This page is publicly accessible and provides Slidiz data-deletion instructions. When YouTube publishing is configured, YouTube access tokens are used transiently and Slidiz stores the encrypted refresh token for a channel you connect. TikTok and Instagram remain export-only and are not connected.

1. Delete a saved project

If you can sign in, open the Projects page, choose the project, select its Delete action, and confirm. The current implementation removes the project record and the uploaded image paths referenced by that project when the storage deletion succeeds.

In signed-out demo mode, projects and image data are stored in your browser. Delete the project in the app or clear Slidiz's browser storage to remove that local copy.

2. Delete your Slidiz account

The current product does not provide a self-service account-deletion control. Request account deletion by email. Include the email address associated with the account and identify the projects or data you want removed.

We may verify your identity before deletion. We will not ask you to send a password, API key, authentication link, or other secret. If we cannot verify that the request is from the account holder, we may request additional information or be unable to complete the request.

3. If you cannot access your account

Email getslidiz@gmail.com from an address you used with Slidiz where possible. State that you cannot access the account, describe the data to be deleted, and provide a safe way for us to reply. We may ask for identity-verification information before taking action.

4. What is deleted and what is not

  • Projects and source images: project-level deletion removes the project record and referenced uploaded image objects where the storage operation succeeds.
  • Generated MP4s and ZIPs: the current export flow renders files in your browser. Files already downloaded to your device are outside Slidiz's control.
  • Local demo data: deleting the local project or clearing browser storage removes the local copy and image cache.
  • Platform authorization data: disconnecting YouTube removes the encrypted refresh token stored by Slidiz for that connection. Access tokens are used transiently. Slidiz does not store TikTok, Meta, or Instagram authorization tokens because those platforms remain export-only.
  • External content: deleting Slidiz data does not delete anything already published or stored on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or another external platform. Use that platform's own controls.

5. Retention and deletion timing

Some information may need to be retained for billing, legal compliance, security, fraud-prevention, dispute resolution, support, or backup purposes. The current repository does not establish a complete retention schedule or a fixed operational deletion period.

Until that value is confirmed, do not assume that deletion is immediate or complete within a fixed number of days. We will confirm by email when a deletion request that can be fulfilled has been completed. There is no automated deletion-confirmation workflow in the current product.

6. Platform-specific revocation

YouTube and Google

Open Connections in Slidiz and choose Disconnect YouTube. You can also revoke Slidiz through Google's third-party access settings. Disconnecting prevents new uploads and removes the encrypted refresh token held by Slidiz. Request deletion of any other Slidiz-held YouTube-related data using the instructions above. Revocation or deletion in Slidiz does not delete videos or other content held by YouTube; manage that content in YouTube or YouTube Studio.

TikTok

There is no current Slidiz TikTok connection to revoke. If a future integration is available, use the Slidiz disconnect control when provided and follow the current TikTok account-security instructions. Request deletion of Slidiz-held TikTok-related data by email. Disconnecting Slidiz will not automatically delete content already stored by TikTok.

Meta and Instagram

There is no current Slidiz Meta or Instagram connection to revoke. If a future integration is available, use the Slidiz disconnect control when provided and the relevant Meta or Instagram account settings where applicable. Request deletion of Slidiz-held data by email. Deleting Slidiz data will not automatically delete content already published on Instagram.
